How are credits used?

Existing captions and cached transcripts are free. Fresh audio transcription costs 1 credit for each started audio minute.

Do credits expire?

No. Purchased Threadmap Credits remain available until they are used.

Is this a subscription?

No. Every pack is a one-time Stripe payment. Threadmap does not renew it automatically or charge a monthly account fee.

Which tools share the balance?

The website, REST API, and remote MCP tools use the same account balance for fresh audio transcription.

What happens when a video fails?

Unavailable, private, unsupported, or otherwise failed transcripts do not consume credits.

Do cached results cost credits?

No. Any transcript already available in Threadmap's cache uses zero credits.

Can a team share one key?

A server can use one account key across its own internal workflow. Keep it secret and rotate it immediately if exposed.

Is audio transcription included?

Yes. Auto mode can fall back to fresh audio transcription for supported videos at 1 credit per minute.

Where do I see my balance?

The dashboard displays available credits. Software can call the usage endpoint, while connected agents can use the balance tool.
