01

One balance

Use the same minute credits from your server, your private transcript library, a playlist import, or a connected MCP client.

02

Pay for results

A successful request is billed by video duration, rounded up to the next minute. Failed requests do not consume transcript minutes.

03

Cache friendly

Repeated API work can use Threadmap's transcript cache. Response headers report the remaining balance so workflows can monitor usage.

04

No lock-in

Your packs do not renew automatically. Add more minutes only when your workflow needs them.

Pricing questions

Before you buy

What counts as a minute?

Threadmap uses the duration of a successfully processed video and rounds up to a whole minute. A 12-minute, 10-second video uses 13 minutes.

Do credits expire?

No. Purchased minute credits remain available until they are used, whether you return next week or in a later project.

Is this a subscription?

No. Every pack is a one-time Stripe payment. Threadmap does not automatically renew it or charge a monthly account fee.

Which tools share the balance?

The REST API, remote MCP tools, and playlist imports all use the same account balance, so you do not need separate plans.

What happens when a video fails?

Unavailable, private, unsupported, or otherwise failed transcripts do not consume successful transcript minutes. Error responses include a code you can handle.

Can I request a refund?

Read the refund policy or contact support with the Stripe receipt number. Refund eligibility depends on usage and payment status.

Do cached results cost minutes?

Successful API calls remain billable even when Threadmap can serve a cached transcript, because the service still provides normalized, structured, available output.

Can a team share one key?

A server can use one account key across its own internal workflow. Keep it secret, monitor usage headers, and rotate it immediately if exposed.

Is audio transcription included?

API auto mode can fall back to fresh audio transcription for supported videos when captions are unavailable. Current duration limits are documented in the API reference.

Where do I see my balance?

The dashboard displays available minutes and purchase history. Software can call the usage endpoint, while connected agents can use the balance tool.
